The Trojans bounced back with a two-point bottom of the seventh to come back in the lead 3-2, getting the RBI from Thomas and Tyresse Turner. Thomas’ brace in the seventh was one of two braces on the day as he also led in the 12th with a brace to move into goalscoring position for Halsema.
A sacrifice fly for Omaha tied it in the eighth and the pitching teams combined for four scoreless frames before USC won in the 12th.
USC starter isaac esqueda earned the no-decision despite giving up only one earned run in 6.2 innings. Charlie Hurley picked up the win after pitching the 11th and 12th innings scoreless. Adrian Colon Rosado had four hits in the game and scored twice.
