Robert Harris Hired As APSU Men’s Basketball Strength And Conditioning Coach – Clarksville Online

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball head coach Nate James announced on Thursday the hiring of Robert Harris as men’s basketball strength and conditioning coach .
Harris comes to Clarksville after spending eight years at the University of Kentucky, coaching Kentucky men’s basketball strength and conditioning. During his eight seasons with the program, the Wildcats won four regular season and SEC tournament titles.
Prior to Kentucky, Harris served as an assistant football strength and conditioning coach at the University of Arkansas. Prior to his move to Arkansas, Harris worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the NFL‘s Cincinnati Bengals for three years. With the Bengals, Harris was responsible for assisting in the development of weight room programs and operations.
Harris graduated in 2009 from Kentucky State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. He earned a master’s degree in sports administration from Eastern Kentucky University in 2010. He and his wife, Maria, have two daughters: Anaya and Alaya.
