Luka Doncic had arguably the most impressive run of games heading into last weekend’s All-Star break, when he scored at least 45 points in three of his last four starts. While those numbers are sure to grab headlines, his backcourt partner Jalen Brunson has also produced regularly for NBA DFS rosters. In Brunson’s last eight starts, he’s only had one game where he scored less than 19 points, and he’s also averaged 4.5 assists and four rebounds per game alongside a player generally dominating the ball at Doncic.

Dallas is back in action for the first time since Friday’s All-Star break against Utah, which looks like a tough game for Brunson on the surface. However, in Dallas’ previous game against the Jazz this season, Brunson scored 27 points with six assists and two steals. Is the combination of Brunson’s previous success against Utah and his consistency before the break worth shooting him in Friday’s NBA DFS squad? Before you make your NBA DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out NBA DFS tips, player rankings, stacks and top daily fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS pro with nearly $2 million in career earnings. He is also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine which uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every match 10,000 times, taking into account factors such as matches, statistical trends and injuries.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal rosters that he only shares on SportsLine. They are must-haves for any NBA DFS player.

On Thursday, McClure listed Suns guard Devin booker and Nuggets center Nikola Jokic as two of his top NBA DFS picks on DraftKings and FanDuel. Both players finished among the top performers at their respective positions and scored over 60 points each on DraftKings and FanDuel. Everyone who included them in their lineups was well on their way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the NBA DFS slate for Friday, Feb. 25, and has locked down his daily top fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by going to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, February 25

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Friday is Lakers superstar LeBron James, who is listed at $10,600 on DraftKings and $10,700 on FanDuel. The Lakers are back in action for the first time since the All-Star break, but James has gotten into it on a roll and is looking to continue his solid game after a strong performance at the All-Star Game. In his five starts before the break, James averaged 29 points, 9.6 rebounds and 7.8 assists.

The Lakers regain the upper hand on Friday against the Clippers, who they face for only the second time this season. In the first meeting between the two, James finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. With starters Anthony Davis (foot) and Avery Bradley (knee) both out for the game, James will once again be the focal point of the Lakers’ offense.

Booker is included again in McClure’s Optimal NBA DFS Strategy on Friday and is listed at $9,200 on DraftKings and $9,000 on FanDuel. The argument for listing it Friday is the same as Thursday and will continue to be the case as long as Chris Paul (thumb) remains inactive. Booker showed he can score and facilitate in Paul’s absence after delivering a season-high 12 assists to go along with his 25 points on Thursday against Oklahoma City.

On Friday, the Suns resume after against New Orleans. Booker is the rare case of a player improving his game in the second of consecutive games this season. In seven such games this season, he has averaged 30 points and 4.9 assists. In two starts against New Orleans this year, he’s averaged 25.5 points and 8.5 rebounds, so without Paul in the lineup, he looks set to fill the box yet again.

McClure is also targeting a player who could leave for massive numbers on Friday because of a dream game. This choice could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
