While the COVID-19 pandemic has only temporarily interrupted major professional sporting events across the world, core programs have been deeply affected even a year from the start.
Especially in India, a country which is struggling hard against the virus and is trying to overcome world records for COVID-19 in April 2021.
Getting vaccinated and staying home, maintaining social distancing was the need of the hour. Perhaps in an effort to keep young children and therefore their families at home, India’s Track “Online Sports Festival” was back.
The third edition, conducted from May 3 to 7 for children aged 5 to 18, returned for the first time since December 2020.
Here’s a quick recap of how it turned out for the aspiring young dancers over the five days of the festival.
Game analysis and fun exercises
Raising the level of basketball talent in the country when it was founded includes not only engaging children with the right fitness regimes or the right techniques on the court, but also helping them better understand the game and improve their skills. Basketball IQ with movie analysis.
From game analysis on the last day to the start of the festival on day one with sessions focused on various technical skills, the enthusiastic attendees got it all.
Interactive session with Princepal Singh
For the second time in India on the track in Online Sports Festival history, former NBA G League member Ignite Princepal Singh made an appearance.
Singh made NBA history last March, becoming the first-ever NBA Academy alumnus to register and score points in the G League. He also became the third Indian to do so after Satnam Singh Bhamara and Amjyot Singh.

Princepal had already interacted with the young members of the NBA Basketball Schools program in September 2020 during the first “ Online Sports Festival ”.

Heartwarming Message from the NBA Basketball Schools Family
Virtual calls, a majority of them on Zoom, have really crossed distances during the pandemic.
As participants in the NBA Basketball Schools program in India performed fun drills and learned interesting NBA trivia from NBA Basketball School Technical Director Phil Galvin, they also received a touching message of support from their members. peers in the UAE.
